I am realizing there is no hope for me to understand and know all the mysteries of our faith, to have every angle understood properly or to be the end all be all for spiritual truth and understanding. Instead I am realizing that to truly know the living Lord Jesus Christ who has made his abode within my being, who by His spirit has caused me to be joined with Him in oneness. To know Him truly who is love and to so flow with His life and love within offering no resistance to His expression. There is no more room for me independently of Him, no more need to be right or wrong, just found in Him abiding with Him and living by Him, living from Him, from unity with Him expressing His love. As Paul said if I understand all mysteries or do great things, etc… and have not love or and live not by the indwelling life of Christ, then I have nothing. I no longer need to attain to anything, nothing else matters but to know Him.
Amen brother!
I’m slowly finding that my own abilities and strengths get me nowhere. But when I rely on the Christ that dwells within me, and my fellow brothers, I’m actually taken away from myself…which means I have less issues that arise–only lessons.
Thanks for blogging, brother.
Dear brother Seth,
When I read your blog post here, the words of our bro Paul resonated in my heart: “His intent was that now, through the ekklesia, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, according to His eternal purpose that He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
You see, not only is there no room to be independent of Christ but this also is the very same statement as there is no room to be independent of Christ’s body, the ekklesia. We most definitely have a personal relationship with Christ Jesus our Lord, but too, we must concede that “to know Him” to the uttermost is by Christ in us as His body expresses, lives, and loves. Outside the body of Christ the fullness of Christ does not exist. It is thereby this very fact that Paul said, “through the ekklesia”. Can one individual gather oneself with oneself? Can one individual express Christ in another? Oh my brother, “To know Him” we must know Him as the ekklesia. Each saint in Christ flows with Life and when we come to know, to experience, Christ in His living body, all parts, we know Him and can say: Christ, our Life. How overwhelming is that, how tremendous is that? Forever the ekklesia is one with Christ, Head and body, Heart and Mind, One.
I love that brother, no need to be right or wrong just found abiding in him. It’s great when you realize the father doesn’t get all loud when we throw a fit because we think we are right. He is just stable, and calm loving us. It really takes away the whole point of throwing a fit, or having to be right.
